Professor Rodney S. Ruoff visits IMEE
Professor Rodney S. Rouff visited IMEE on June 15, 2017。
Professor Rodney S. Rouff is a world famous expert on carbon materials. He is currently UNIST Distinguished Professor at the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST), and the director of the Center for Multidimensional Carbon Materials (CMCM). He was the Cockrell Family Regents Chair professor at University of Texas at Austin. He obtaiend his PhD degree fromUniversity of Illinois-Urbana in 1988, and wokred as theFulbright Fellow at Max Planck Institute fuerStroemungsforschung from 1988 to 1989。He was the John Evans Professor at Northwest University from 2000 to 2007, and worked as the director of Biologically Inspired Materials Institute of the univerisity。Prof. Ruoff has published about 415 scientific papers with an H-index of 102. He is also listed as one of the top 100 material scientists from 2000 to 2010. He is the editor and editorial board member for many prestigious journals. Prof. Ruoff has made significant contributions to the development of carbon materials, including graphene, diamond, nanotubes,etc. He has published more than 10 papers on Science and Nature, and won the Turnbull Prize in 2014.
Prof. Rodney S. Ruoff visited the labs and discussed with the faculties and students of IMEE to know the research progress of the IMEE. He highly praised the research achievements made by the IMEE.
