Xianfen Wang received her Bachelor and Master's degree in Materials Science from Shandong University. She then received her Ph.D. in Nano-Science and Nano-engineering from Waseda University at Japan, studying the nanocrystalline diamond based biosensors and transparent electrodes with Prof. Hiroshi Kawarada. She was then a Postdoctoral Scholar at The University of Tokyo, researching the high-property Sodium ion batteries with Prof. Atsuo Yamada.
In 2017, Xianfen joined QDU as an associate professor in the Institute of Materials for Energy and environment. Her current research interests include novel electrode materials for electrochemical energy storage devices, particularly sodium ion batteries, hybrid capacitors and capacitive desalination.
