Dr. Yuesheng Wang Hydro-quebec Institute of Canada has delivered a talked entitled “Ti-Containing Oxide Electrode Materials for Room Temperature Stationary Sodium Ion Battery” on April 18, 2017. Dr. Xianfen Wang from IMEE has chaired the seminar.

Dr. Wang obtained his PhD degree from Institute of Physics CAS in 2016 and his supervisor is Prof. Yongsheng Hu. His research interests are the development and design of novel electrode materials for room temperature Na-ion batteries. In his talk, he mainly introduced four types of new electrode materials for Na-ion batteries: P2-Na_0.66[Li_0.22Ti_0.78]O₂ negative electrode material, P2-Na_0.6[Cr_0.6Ti_0.4]O₂ layered material, Na_0.44[Mn_1-xTi_x]O₂ negative electrode material and Na_0.66[Mn_0.66Ti_0.34]O₂ positive electrode material.

Dr. Wang has published 16 papers and applied 9 patents. Among his publications, 3 papers were published at Nature Communications and one paper was published on Advanded Energy Materials. Three of his papers are ESI highly cited papers.
