The Secondary-Battery Lab aims to develop new-generation rechargeable battery technologies, focusing on high-power lithium-ion batteries and sodium-ion batteries. The lab is equipped with advanced materials processing and characterizing facilities to enable design and synthesis of high-performance electrode materials, such as atomic-layer deposition, low-pressure plasma deposition, Mikrouna glove box, Gamry and CHI-series electrochemical workstations, desktop tablet pressing machine, automatic battery sealing machine, MTI soft package assembly system, and Neware battery testing system. Currently, the main research themes include high-nickel NCM cathode materials, phosphate cathode materials, niobium- and vanadium-based anode materials, carbon-based anode materials, titanium-based anode materials, silicon- and tin-based anode materials, and flexible electrode materials.
