Dr. Huanxin Ju, an applied scientist of PHI-CHINA, came to our institute to give a lecture on XPS analysis technology
At 9:30 am on October 11, 2021, Dr. Huanxin Ju, an applied scientist from PHI-CHINA, Qingdao University Conference Center 304, came to our institute to give a lecture on analysis technology entitled "The Principle, Application and Data Processing of XPS". Nearly 40 teachers and students from related majors from the School of Materials, Physics, Chemistry and Chemical Engineering attended the lecture.
X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) is a surface analysis method that uses X-rays incident on the surface of a sample and detects the outgoing photoelectrons to obtain information on the surface composition and chemical state of the sample. The PHI XPS purchased by our institute has become an important analytical technique in the laboratory, widely used in materials, energy, catalysis and other fields, and plays an important role in understanding the structure-activity relationship. In this report, Dr. Ju explained the principles and technical characteristics of XPS in detail; combined with scientific research in the field of energy materials, he shared the application cases of XPS in spatial resolution, including XPS chemical state micro-analysis and in-depth analysis; Techniques and data processing are explained in detail, including binding energy calibration, chemical state resolution, peak fitting, and batch data fitting. The teachers and classmates showed great interest in Dr. Ju's lecture on analytical techniques, and the on-site communication atmosphere was lively. Dr. Ju answered the questions of the teachers and classmates in detail, and welcomed the teachers and students to have the opportunity to come to PHI-CHINA Nanjing exchange in the laboratory. The teachers and students who attended the conference greatly broadened their horizons, enriched their professional knowledge, and gained a deeper understanding of the principles, applications and data processing of XPS through the analysis technology lecture.
Dr. Ju Huanxin, Applied Scientist at PHI (China) Limited Gold Interconnect (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd.
